Alexandra Michalko

Alexandra Michalko is a native Californian, born and raised in the Bay Area. She graduated from Stanford University in 2003 with a BA in International Relations and a minor in Italian. After graduation, she volunteered as an environmental educator aboard the 90-foot schooner Adventuress in Puget Sound. She returned to San Francisco to work as a brand and business development intern at Sony. She then began her career in land conservation at Peninsula Open Space Trust (POST). During her time at POST, Alex has managed the GIS mapping program and worked on land acquisition projects. In August she will enroll at Duke University to pursue joint MBA and Masters of Environmental Management degrees at the Fuqua School of Business and the Nicholas School of the Environment and Earth Sciences. In her free time, Alex enjoys traveling, photography, and learning new languages. She also loves watching classic movies, practicing Pilates, making jewelry, and bookbinding.
