Brianna Randall

Brianna Randall grew up in the mountains of southern California and received her B.A. in Biology from the University of San Diego. After spending some months appreciating the old growth forests on Vancouver Island while conducting forest inventories, she decided to leave the big cities of California and pursue a Master’s of Environmental Studies at the University of Montana in Missoula.  Brianna has always loved water—for playing, studying, and protecting—and researched water markets in the West during graduate school.  This led to her current job in Missoula as the Montana Water Trust’s (MWT) Development Associate, where she works to diversify funding sources and coordinate public relations and outreach efforts, as well as participate in landowner negotiations. MWT is the only water trust in the state and is pioneering incentive-based solutions to water use issues by benefiting landowners, streamflows, and communities.  Brianna also works as a freelance writer, and has taught writing at the U.M. College of Technology. Her free time is filled with hiking, biking, gardening, yoga, playing guitar, and taking a variety of dance classes.
