Diane Katz

Diane Katz is Director of Science, Environment and Technology Policy for the Mackinac Center for Public Policy. Prior to joining the center, Ms. Katz was a member of The Detroit News editorial board specializing in science and the environment, telecommunications and technology, and the auto industry. She also has worked as an abuse and neglect investigator, a counselor to runaway teens and as director of halfway houses for federal parolees. Ms. Katz earned a M.A. in journalism from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor of Philosophy degree from Thomas Jefferson College. She lives with her family in Farmington Hills, Mich.
