Marine Pienaar

Mariné Pienaar is a self-employed land-use specialist and the founder of Terra-Africa Consult. She was born and raised on a cattle farm in the Northwest Province of South Africa. Mariné earned a bachelor degree in agricultural science at the University of Pretoria, the leading research university in South Africa and one of the largest in the country. Following, she took a position as a Horticulturist and Soil Scientist for Omnia Fertilizer, a company in the fruit producing areas of the Western Cape. In 2007, she founded Terra-Africa Consult and has since been the manager and lead consultant of the business, focusing on agriculture and environmental projects. Mariné is currently working towards a master’s degree in environmental science at the University of the Witwatersrand. Mariné is a keen horsewoman and enjoys riding the trails wherever she travels. Her favorite vacation spot is anywhere along the southern African coastline, especially Mozambique.
