Michael Robertson

Michael Robertson is a partner in Industrial Symbiosis Partners LP, a start-up environmental capital fund with a focus on investments in companies that provide infrastructure and technologies facilitating the reuse of resources like water, energy and industrial materials. He is a British citizen now residing in the United States, and has more than twenty years of experience with firms in the financial, environmental, and natural resource industries.  His first and longest standing interest professionally has been in natural and environmental resources and conservation.  Since moving to Connecticut in 2006, he has volunteered significant amounts of time and funds to a watershed protection organization and a land conservation program, both in New England. His broader personal interests include conservation in the context of sustainable Third World development, particularly in southern Africa. He holds master’s degrees from Cambridge and Yale Universities, in Natural Sciences and Environmental Management respectively. He is married and has a three-year-old daughter named Rose.
