Eric Schwaab

Born and raised in Maryland, Eric Schwaab just completed a four-year stint as director of the Fisheries Service for the Maryland Department of Natural Resources. Prior to that, he served as the director of the Forest, Wildlife & Heritage Service for the state of Maryland. He has also worked as a park ranger, natural resource police officer, and in several management positions for the state park system in Maryland. Schwaab holds an undergraduate degree in biology from McDaniel College and an advanced degree in environmental planning from Towson University. He is a native Marylander who currently resides in Catonsville, Maryland, with his wife and three young daughters. Schwaab is currently exploring a variety of new career possibilities in natural resource management.
