Justin Winikoff

Justin Winikoff is a research agricultural Eeconomist in the Rural Economy Branch of the USDA Economic Research Service. He received his Ph.D. in agricultural and applied economics at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He obtained his undergraduate degree in Mathematical Economic Analysis and (Energy) Policy Studies at Rice University in Houston, Texas, where he developed a keen interest in energy issues. His research primarily focuses on energy economics and the interactions between resource-rich areas and the surrounding local economies. Justin was a PERC Graduate Fellow in 2018.
