Daniel Willard
Daniel Willard is Lead Senior Economist for the Oceans Program at Environmental Defense Fund. He works with the Oceans Program team to develop market-based incentives and ecosystem-based strategies to restore fisheries and marine resources, as well as providing counsel on key issues in the Gulf of Mexico, Asia-Pacific, and other fisheries. His work engages academic economists, policy experts and fishermen to develop and guide economic research that is timely and relevant to key decision-makers. He conducts economic analysis of complex fishery management and marine resource conservation issues for key Oceans Program projects, including work with commercial and recreational reef fish, highly migratory species, and crab fisheries.
