Jim Sterba is the author of Nature Wars: The Incredible Story of How Wildlife Comebacks Turned Backyards into Battlegrounds and winner of the 2013 Green Prize for Sustainable Literature. He was a foreign correspondent and national reporter for four decades, first for The New York Times and then for The Wall Street Journal.
