Jingjie Chu
Jingjie Chu, is a natural resource economist, working in the Global Program on Fisheries and Aquaculture at the World Bank. She holds a doctorate degree in environmental and natural resource economics from the University of Rhode Island and a masters of science degree in environmental economics and policy from Peking University, China. Jingjie has working experience as an economist with the Aquaculture Program Office of the United States National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS). Since joining the Young Professional Program at the World Bank, she has been involved in different projects related to fisheries and aquaculture management, coastal sustainable development, and marine resources conservation in Africa and East Asia. Currently, Jingjie is working with colleagues in developing and applying Fishery Performance Indicators (FPIs) to measure success or failure of the fisheries regarding sustainable wealth generation.
