(Bozeman, MT)—We are excited to announce that Jonathan Wood will be joining PERC as vice president of law and policy. He will lead our continued efforts to promote free market environmentalism in environmental policy at both federal and state levels.
Jonathan has been a PERC research fellow in recent years, helping lead our work on endangered species recovery and forest restoration. Prior to coming to PERC, Jonathan was a senior attorney at Pacific Legal Foundation, where he litigated cases concerning the Endangered Species Act, Clean Water Act, and other federal environmental laws before the Supreme Court of the United States and courts across the country.
“Jonathan is a tremendous talent who has established himself as one of the nation’s foremost thought leaders at the crossroads of conservation and property rights and markets. It is a big moment for us to be able to bring him into the organization to help elevate PERC’s energizing and creative conservation work.“— Brian Yablonski, PERC CEO
Jonathan has a law degree from the New York University School of Law, a masters degree in economic policy from the London School of Economics, and a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Texas. He is on the executive committee for the Federalist Society’s Environmental Law and Property Rights Practice Group and a steering committee member for the Environmental Law Institute’s Emerging Leaders Initiative.
