Dylan Soares

Dylan Soares is the conservation counsel at PERC, bringing federal law experience in the natural resources and environmental law space. He works within PERC’s Law and Policy Center to identify and engage on legal issues and cases arising across the western United States.

Dylan graduated with a law degree from Harvard Law School and a bachelor’s degree in bioresource and agricultural engineering, with an emphasis in water resources, from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. Prior to working with PERC, Dylan clerked at the United States District Court of Utah and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. He then practiced natural resources and environmental law with an emphasis on federal litigation at a national law firm in Denver, Colorado.

In his free time, Dylan enjoys exploring the Rockies. He is especially passionate about big-game hunting on public land, downhill skiing, and visiting national parks.
