Matt Anderson
Matt Anderson is the Utah Coordinator at PERC, where he draws on his deep roots in the state to move PERC’s Utah priorities forward. Matt graduated with a B.S. and M.S. in political science from Utah State University. His passion for natural resources, public lands, energy, and agriculture policy has guided his career at policy think tanks, as a U.S. Senate staffer, and as the Acting/Deputy Director of the Utah Office of Energy Development. Matt has testified before Congressional committees and appeared in local, national, and international news outlets, including BBC, NPR, C-SPAN, The Hill, BuzzFeed, and the Washington Examiner. He is an active member of his community, volunteering as the director of the Utah Sportsmen’s Caucus, a board member of multiple conservation organizations, and as an External Advisory Committee Member of Utah State University’s Institute of Land, Water, and Air. When not on the job, you are likely to find Matt chasing upland game birds across the West or fly fishing Utah’s Bear River Range.
