McLean Albritton

McLean Albritton serves as PERC’s federal policy associate, supporting the organization’s government relations efforts by translating PERC research into actionable federal policy solutions. Based in Washington, D.C., he monitors legislative developments and engages with policymakers on issues aligned with PERC’s market-based approach to conservation.

McLean has a master’s degree from the University of St. Andrews, where he studied legal history, and a bachelor’s degree in government with a minor in history from the University of Virginia. A student of early American politics and an avid outdoorsman, he is especially interested in how market-based policies can improve forest health and wildlife habitat.

In his spare time, McLean can be found taking advantage of outdoor opportunities in Virginia, Montana, and his home state of Alabama. He is especially passionate about fly fishing, skiing, and hunting.
