Andrea Nogues
Andrea Nogués coordinates the Sustainable Grazing Strategy, an key component of the Nature Conservancy’s recently launched Patagonian Grasslands of Argentina Conservation Project, which aims to effectively conserve the Southern Temperate Grasslands. Andrea brings a blend of social sciences applied to natural resource management issues, and is currently beginning to implement efforts on private sheep ranches, or estancias, to fight the threat of desertification by helping landowners and decision-makers to adopt best grazing and management practices and access existing “green” markets that demand sustainable fibers and meat. Apart from her love of the outdoors, Andrea also has a passion for horses and bike riding.
