Jennifer Pahl
Jennifer Pahl is an ecologist with Corblu Ecology Group, LLC in Lawrenceville, Georgia working on a range of environmental restoration and conservation projects. Jenny is involved in wetland and stream mitigation bank project development and design, but is also focused on emerging markets such as nutrient and carbon trading.
At Corblu, she is initiating a pilot study in collaboration with the University of Georgia and a local Water Authority to generate carbon credits from wastewater wetlands. She hopes to establish a formal methodology for credit certification and offer a new cost-effective credit source to global markets.
Pahl is a New England native, receiving her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Vermont, where she also gained experience working with the U.S. Forest Service. After moving to Georgia to teach K-12 environmental science, Jenny earned a Master’s degree from the Odum School of Ecology at the University of Georgia, where she is currently a Ph.D. candidate. Her doctoral work focuses on the health of ecosystems associated with engineered wastewater wetlands.
