John Colson
Currently in his final year at Texas A&M University School of Law in Fort Worth, Texas, John Colson worked as a legal intern within PERC’s Conservation Law and Policy Center. Raised on a working farm and ranch near Ryegate, Montana, John’s agricultural background fostered an intuitive understanding that conservation works best when accomplished by market actors with simple incentives—all the better when conservationists know the land and wildlife they seek to protect.
Outside of work, John is a creative writer and avid outdoorsman, enjoying everything from peak-bagging to hunting and snowshoeing. He looks forward to returning home to Montana after law school to live and practice law.
