Justin Winikoff

Justin Winikoff is a Research Agricultural Economist in the Rural Economy Branch of the USDA Economic Research Service. He received his PhD in agricultural and applied economics at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He obtained his undergraduate degree in Mathematical Economic Analysis and (Energy) Policy Studies at Rice University in Houston, Texas, where he developed a keen interest in energy issues. His research primarily focuses on energy economics and the interactions between resource rich areas and the surrounding local economies. Originally from Woodcliff Lake, New Jersey, Justin can often be found playing tennis or guitar, watching his beloved New York Giants, and adding to his record collection.
