Karla Hernandez

Karla Hernandez is an associate editor at PERC. She supports the organization’s publications processes—from editing, fact-checking, and workflow coordination, to working with research contributors to improve the accessibility and impact of PERC’s work.

She holds an M.S. and B.A. in economics from the University of Texas at El Paso. Prior to her time at PERC, she worked at the Reason Foundation, the Center for Free Enterprise, the Engine Foundation, and other non-profit organizations where she gained experience in free-market research, writing, and editing across a diverse range of policy areas. Her current research and editorial interests are in water conservation and forest health.

Outside of work, Karla can be found running, hiking the Franklin Mountains, or exploring the wildlife and landscapes of the Chihuahuan Desert across West Texas and New Mexico.
