Lindsay Mielke

Lindsay recently graduated from St. Cloud University in St. Cloud, Minn., with a bachelor’s degree in Creative Writing and a minor in Travel and Tourism. She grew up in a small town on Lake Superior in Minnesota — Grand Marais — the same town that is part of her KCI project. Her parents operate a canoe outfitting business there so her interest in the economic viability of the area is vested. With a love for the outdoors, Lindsay has spent the last three summers fighting wildland fires for the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources. She also is an assistant cross-country ski coach.
