Marcus Strange

Marcus Strange is the state policy manager at PERC, where he works on state-specific policy strategies and government affairs efforts to implement collaborative public policy based on PERC’s groundbreaking research. Over the last seven years, he has channeled his passion for the outdoors and collaboration to address some of Montana’s most challenging issues, from elk management to tax reform. Marcus has been appointed to and served on several state-level advisory groups during his career. He has also appeared on several popular podcasts including Cal of the Wild, part of the Meateater network, and The Average Conservationist of the Sportsmen’s Empire network.

When he’s not wrestling with complex policy topics, Marcus enjoys trail running, skiing, bowhunting, collecting vinyl records, crossword puzzles, and taking his dogs (Hershel and Oliver) on “mess arounds.” Marcus is a native Pennsylvanian and converted Montanan and is fortunate to call Helena home.
