I’m English and so already pushing my comfort zone to talk about myself! My formative years were spent growing up in the countryside on the English/Welsh border before moving to the South coast to study Biology and Geography as an undergraduate. After graduating I spent 9 years in Environmental Consultancy, becoming a specialist in air quality modeling. In 2004, I moved to Cambodia, working with a UK NGO conducting biodiversity surveys in national parks. Since 2005, I have worked with Wildlife Alliance (previously WildAid) implementing a park management model of improved law enforcement, alternative livelihoods, education and awareness and wildlife rescue and care. After the PERC camp I will be returning to the UK and continuing my post-graduate studies in conservation.
