Ryan Abman is an assistant professor of Economics at San Diego State University. His research examines the economic drivers of land use change around the world with particular focus on deforestation. His research has been published in the American Journal of Agricultural Economics, the Journal of the Association of Environmental and Resource Economics, and the Journal of Environmental Economics and Management among others. Ryan completed his Ph.D. in Economics and the University of California, Santa Barbara and was a PERC graduate fellow in 2013.
