Xiaochen Sun
Xiaochen Sun was a 2023 PERC graduate fellow and a Ph.D. student in Public Policy at Carnegie Mellon University. Her research interests lie in the field of applied microeconomics, primarily in environmental and energy economics. Her work includes the discussion of building energy efficiency, air pollution policy, and electricity markets. Her current research is focused on the impact of generation interconnection mechanism and how it affects generators’ decision making.
She earned a B.A. in environmental economics from Renmin University of China in 2013 and an M.S. in environmental economics and policy from Duke University in 2015.
