E.L. Wiegand Storyteller in Residence Program
Terry Anderson, PERC’s chief storyteller in residence, shares tales from the back country to help illustrate how hunting can be used as a tool for wildlife conservation.
PERC invites journalists, filmmakers, podcast producers and other storytellers to participate in PERC’s dynamic community of environmental scholars and entrepreneurs. Storytellers in residence help PERC’s staff better understand how to identify a good story, how to create a compelling narrative, and how to develop and engage an audience. At the same time, PERC’s staff and scholars help storytellers use PERC’s tools of economic and institutional analysis to better understand the nature of environmental conflicts. We hope that visiting storytellers find themselves invigorated by our ideas.
Storytellers spend a week or more in residence and conduct at least one workshop on their craft for PERC staff and visiting fellows.
